I first started breastfeeding back in 1996 when my first child was born, and am currently breastfeeding my 7th child. However, through all these years my wardrobe has never consisted of very many nursing apparel items! I find that the majority of nursing shirts out there not very stylish and if I'm going to spend money on nursing apparel I want to be sure it's something that I can wear out even if I don't have my baby with me. Therefore, the only nursing apparel I have ever owned other than nursing bra's are a couple of nursing cami's. And I won't even go into the story about how I left my house wearing one and had forgotten to fasten the flap back up!!
I'm not very shy about nursing in public, I've found that I hide my breast very well just by positioning my shirt right without covering up baby. But in doing so, it leaves my side and stomach exposed. And if you've ever tried to cover up that area with a blanket, you know just how difficult a task it is! And in the heat of summer, layering my clothing is out of the question. Recently we took our family on a trip to an amusement park, and the shirt I was wearing was not nursing friendly at all and I found it quite difficult to be discreet. This weekend we are going to the zoo and I started searching nursing apparel so I wouldn't have the same difficulties. I came across Momzelle and was quite surprised at how stylish the shirts were and really didn't look like nursing wear at all! They offer shirts for all seasons including tanks, tee's and long sleeves.

I had the honor of receiving the black Criss Cross tee to review. When choosing a size, I wasn't quite sure if I should get the small or the medium. I'm tall and thin and not very abundant in the chest area. It's typically hard for me to find shirts that aren't extra baggy in the chest, and because I'm very tall it's hard to find shirts with enough length. So in corresponding with the company, I told them either a Small or Medium should do just fine. I was sent a small and I'm glad I was. I have never had a shirt fit me so well! And with no clips, snaps or buttons it's very easy to nurse in without having to fidget to get access. The criss cross design allows you to pull the fabric up on one side, or down on the other.

This shirt allows for very discreet nursing without the hassle of fidgeting with blankets or covers. As you can see in these photo's, I am completely covered up and Kason is comfortably nursing.

Another great benefit of this shirt is I can wear it anywhere whether baby is with me or not and no one would even know that it was a nursing shirt.

I will definitely be adding more Momzelle shirts to my wardrobe. Not only does Momzelle offer trendy nursing apparel, but they also offer some great breastfeeding advice and information on the website and blog.
