Ok so I guess the “teeth” Kason had weren’t teeth at all. So confusing. He was born with 2 white spots on his bottom gums that looked very much like teeth. So when he was about 9 weeks old I had the dentist look when I had some of my other kids in there for appointments, and she said Yes, they are teeth. These are what I’m talking about:
Looks like 2 bottom teeth right?
Well yesterday as he was smiling away at me I saw this:
Now that is definitely an obvious tooth. Not sure if you can see, but behind that new tooth are the white ‘spots’ seen in the first pic. So this tooth didn’t grow where the other “teeth” are but instead in front of it. Now I’m wondering what the heck those other “teeth” are? You’d think with this being my 7th child I’d know what the heck teeth are lol. The other “teeth” haven’t grown at all so I guess they’re not teeth at all. How bizarre.

WOW! That’s just crazy. I would be going to see the dentist and having them figure it all out.
First, follow back.
I would hate to go to a dentist for this too. Have you tried asking this on a mommy message board? I go to http://www.mamapedia.com/questions Sorry not to spam you this is the board I go to for free advice. Some of the mommy’s are better than everyone else but overall it’s a good group.
Thanks ladies.
I’m just going to watch and see what the first assumed ‘teeth’ do. He’s now starting to cut the other bottom front tooth. My kids are due for dental checkups again in October, so as long as there aren’t any suspected problems developing I will wait until then to have her take another look if the ‘spots’ are still there. With him being only nearly 4 months old, I wouldn’t let them do any dental work on him right now anyway. For now I’ll just keep an eye on it.
jeaahhh…
